Our Babies
ECD Campus 1 | 3 Months to Grade RR
Our ECD Campus 1 provides a caring, stimulating and play-based learning environment for children from 3 months old through to Grade RR. With a 1:12 staff-to-child ratio, our classes are kept small enough to provide children with individual attention while encouraging social interaction, independence and confidence.
Learning takes place through weekly themes, hands-on activities, movement, music, creative play and exploration. A strong emphasis is placed on developing fine motor skills, early language, communication, coordination and the foundational skills children need as they prepare for formal schooling.
Our Grade RRR and Grade RR learners are introduced to South African Sign Language (SASL) and participate in NeuroNet and Mixed Motion activities, incorporating movement and learning into their daily programme.
Creative development is an important part of life at Campus 1. Every Friday is Art Day, giving children the opportunity to paint, create and experiment with different materials. We also enjoy regular dress-up and themed days, as well as dancing as an additional activity.
Our daily routine includes a two-hour rest and nap period, giving younger children the opportunity to recharge during their busy day. We also encourage healthy eating habits and nutritious snacks, helping children develop a positive relationship with food from an early age. Above all, Campus 1 is designed to allow young children to learn through play, explore at their own pace and enjoy their earliest experiences of school.
Protecting Our Little Learners
The safety and privacy of our children are extremely important to us. Visitors to our social media pages may notice that the faces of our babies and younger children are blurred as an additional safety measure. Any children whose faces are identifiable on our website or official school material are featured with permission from their parents or guardians.
