Foundation Phase Campus 2 | Grade R to Grade 3
Our Foundation Phase at Campus 2 caters for learners from Grade R to Grade 3 and follows a CAPS-aligned curriculum. With a 1:12 class ratio, we are able to provide learners with individual support while maintaining a structured and engaging classroom environment.
Our Grade R learners continue to learn through carefully planned weekly themes and take part in NeuroNet activities, helping to build the foundational skills needed as they move into formal schooling. Grade R is also where learners are introduced to our school uniform and begin becoming part of the routines and traditions of the primary school. Technology forms an important part of learning at Campus 2. Learners are introduced to Coding and Robotics, including ScratchJr, and have access to our computer lab, where they can begin developing practical digital and computer skills from an early age.
We offer a wide variety of free extramural activities, including extra art, chess, cross country, mini cricket, mini soccer, choir and netball. Learners can also participate in paid activities such as Mixed Motion, dance and karate.
School life extends beyond the classroom through regular dress-up and themed days, special activities and visits from interesting members of our community and guest speakers, giving learners the opportunity to discover different careers, skills and experiences.
Our learners are also given opportunities to represent the school beyond our campus. We participate in interschool cross-country events, allowing learners to compete, develop sportsmanship and enjoy being part of a school team.
Protecting Our Learners
The safety and privacy of our children remain a priority. On our social media platforms, you may notice that some learners' faces are blurred as an additional safety measure. Any children whose faces are clearly shown on our website or official school material are featured with permission from their parents or guardians.
